How to Use Mala Beads
A mala, meaning “garland”, is a string of prayer beads. They have been used for spiritual practices and worn for thousands of years in the traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism alike. Traditionally, they are used as a counting tool for the recitation of sacred words called Mantra Japa Meditation.

Malas are still very popular today. Many modern yogis wear malas as spiritual jewelry, a beautiful adornment, as a sacred and devotional statement. But how exactly do you use mala beads? Why do they enhance and deepen a meditation practice? Is chanting with a mala part of the yogic path?

Join Rajeshwari Gretchen Carmel for this unique teaching and discover the secrets to this sacred discipline.
You will learn:
-the history, symbology and meaning of 108 beads
-the different types of malas and how to choose one
